I carry water everywhere. And my current water bottle (a camel back with the sippy straw – which I swear to god helps me drink twice as much water) is outfitted with summer’s finest NYC tap con refreshing mix-ins. Today: just cucumbers. In the last week, lemon, lime, basil, mint, and rosemary. Together or alone, these little ad-ins help dispel that it’s-so-hot-I-don’t-want-to-drink-water feeling (and taste in my mouth).
Funny thing is, because my water bottle is clear and the many people I pass in the hospital, on the subway, at the manicure place (that costs $7 here. NYC I love you), etc get a full view of what I am drinking. People get so freaking excited when you have herbs in your water. All they want to do is talk about it. So, I get hydrated, and maybe they get inspired to make the human drink of choice a little more enjoyable and therefore, consumed, cause in this weather, dehydration is no joking matter.
